Inspired by the trip I helped plan for Harley-Davidson’s Documentary project ‘Common Ground’, I’m now offering my trip of a lifetime to you!

The tv show

i turned

into a tour

Harley-Davidson Canada and the Discovery Channel followed Daniel Ross and Sac Vasanth around the Cabot Trail. It was such an amazing tour that we wanted to make it available to everyone. Come ride with us on The Lobster Tour around the Cabot Trail.

THIS IS AN ALL INCLUSIVE TOUR

EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED

  • ALL OF YOUR FUEL

  • ALL OF YOUR FOOD

  • ALL OF YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS

  • ALL OF YOUR SNACKS

  • ALL OF YOUR EXCURSIONS

  • ALL OF YOUR SIDE MISSIONS

EAT LOBSTER

This is a highlight of the tour.

We don't eat lobsters at restaurants - all of us that live in the harbours of Nova Scotia know fishermen and we always cook and eat our own lobster! Join us!

RIDE AND RIDE AND RIDE

With 3 Motorcyle guides and an empty cargo trailer available, group riding is so easy on this tour. We split up at times so that everyone enjoys their pace. We will have other Nova Scotia friends join on different sections of  the trail and our side missions. When you are here, you are one of us!

How We Got Here

After my first ride on the Cabot Trail I got it! I felt it! I had to share this feeling!

I made a website in the middle of the night. I connected with bikers all over the world. I made a T-shirt about The Cabot Trail. Harley Davidson Canada and the Discovery Channel liked my web site. We did a TV show together showing off The Cabot Trail.

It was AMAZING! So we did it again without a camera crew and it was AMAZING! So we did it again and it was AMAZING! Guess what? We're doing it AGAIN! And it will be AMAZING!

Tail Guide, Shauna Ross

My wife Shauna is your tail guide. Having a tail guide is absolutely critical to keep us moving comfortably. We will ride in smaller groups and adapt to the ideal pace. Shauna is also responsible for Daniel... which is necessary, haha.

Tour Guide John Blakely

John Blakeley, from Scotland, was a tour guest in 2024 and in his own words “What an epic trip, comparable to tours worldwide”. He was a terrific addition to the group and stood out as an incredible rider. On one particular day the weather was dry and dusty and a few of the group wanted to see Meat Cove. Given the dust I didn't want to take my bike and kick up more dust so hopped on the back of John's bike. We had a blast on, arguably, the roughest public road anyone has ridden on. John has done the police training slow maneuvering as I have, but also did pursuit training and regularly provides skills and roadcraft training to anyone looking to improve their safety, pace and overall
enjoyment on the bike. With 3 of us guiding for 2025, there's opportunity for John to break off with guests to work on riding skills. Even if you've ridden a million miles, a tip or insight on a few points can improve your enjoyment of riding your motorcycle. I'm so excited to have John as my second guide for the 2025 edition of the Lobster Tour.

The Cabot Trail Biker

Yours Truly, Cabot Trail Biker is the lead on the trip. I love the Cabot Trail! Even if you've been here before, let's discover my favourite places along the way together!

Excursions & Missions

  • Hikes

  • Museum trip (if bad weather)

  • Side Missions

  • etc.

Professional Photos

Shauna is a photographer and has great tips for you capturing pics on your bike trips. She'll take some fun shots of us riding up the switchbacks of MacKenzie.

Welcome Kit

  • Your ‘This is Actually Going to Happen’ welcome kit

  • $150 per guest value

The Cape Breton Highlands National Park is a national park. To keep and maintain a park that size with so much natural beauty; everyone is required to have a Park Pass, which is included in the tour package.
