This site has a video of riding a bike through the trail. It is done by Harold and Wendy Nesbitt, who certainly have their time in the saddle all over Nova Scotia. There are some good links on that page, so I’ll lay these out here as well.
http://www.motorcycletourguidens.com/ has lots of good stuff from the people that make the free guide that you need if you’re coming to NS. They have an awesome map of Nova Scotia with all the themed highways. You can click on each area to see what to expect as far as features of the towns/cities, celebrated festivals, what/where to eat, etc. You’ll find it under “Eat, stay & play”
Here is a site that is a good resource for bike specific events within Nova Scotia. It is a ‘go to’ site for Nova Scotia bikers to know what’s going on. Check it out to get familiar with the bikers that you might meet on your journey!
Nova Scotia Come to life is a campaign to help get Nova Scotian’s a little more appreciative of what we’ve got here, and let the world know that we’re a great place to play, work, and invest in. Nova Scotia is also Biker friendly – they’ll cover the cost to get you the motorcycle guide, they are finishing the 5yr Cabot Trail paving project, they support the award winning and growing Digby Wharf Rat Rally, and they’ve featured my story on their home page recently.

Hey, just thought you’d like to see the piece we did on your site and that we linked your site.
Nice job!
We’ll have to look you up when we get to Nova Scotia in July.
Sincerely, Joe & Ed
Joe & Ed,
I just visited your site and saw the trip you laid out…well, well, well. There is no better way to plan a trip, than to make the journey home not a hurry. You rented a house and all – well done indeed! Don’t you dare visit us without giving me a call when you get close. I’m so excited for you guys/gals to come up from Ohio. Be safe in your journey and hopefully I’ll hear from you in July!
Just a note to let you know about my motorcycle and automotive photography packages.
Check out my website http://www.riverpiratephotography.com for further information on pricing and upcoming motorcycle and automotive events in Atlantic Canada.

We’ll call before we leave.
See ya soon,
Joe, Bea, Ed and Vic
Hey Joe, Bea, Ed, and Vic,
I can’t wait for you guys to share your story… and I hope it’s storyline is better than all those that rode the Trail over the last 4 weeks. The weather has been so rainy and cold lately… I feel so terrible for the folks like you that planned for so long, then came up in the last few weeks. Hopefully the rest of the season will be awesome and the rains just make everything nicer to look at. Besides your blog, which I will certainly link to, send me a couple of your favorite pics to post for 2011. Be safe on your travels, have fun, and please call on your way through Antigonish!
Daniel
